Questions & Answers On Work From Your Home Computer Jobs

Davina asks…
I want to work as a accountant or something from home?
I want to have a good job one day, but not sure what to do. I do know for a fact, that I want to work at home though.
I am not entirely sure what job I should stumble onto and go into as a future occupation. Below are a few ideas I’ve had and one question about each (if you can answer, good if you can’t go past this section please).
1) Accountant – can they work at home?
2) Data base administrator – does this require science or math or just computer work?
3) Medical typer – Do I have to go to med school?
The problem is that I am very aspergic and I would like a computer job and to work at home. I have never really interacted with people in public that well and have problems doing so. I can talk great on Yahoo, and emailing and that jazz, so is there any possibility that I could get an at home job with computers if I can get my typing speed high and establish a great reputation? I can type about 100 wpm/99% accuracy so far and been on computers a few years, never really spent time practicing and I do know my way around every operating system along with repairing them, updating and securing them so no one can get past the firewall and such.
I can stand being on the computer for 10-20 hours at a time just typing and writing. This is fun to me. I am not so much a writer as I love to be on the computer and just work, no matter what I am doing – the computer just appeals to me ever since I have been on one.
If you know of anyway to get a job at home (considering I am aspergic also), please let me know.
Very grateful and awaiting your response,
Jana

Accountants work in offices. I’ve never heard of an accountant working from home (this is the career path i’m looking into).

Richard asks…
I Want Work From Home Jobs?
I’m a single mom and I really want to work from home! I have looked at so many websites, but I keep coming up with scams. Does ANYONE know of legitimate jobs that I can do from home on the computer? I could see me doing customer service, phone help, etc. (NO TELEMARKETING/NO SALES, etc.) I just want to help people. I would really appreciate your feedback if you know of any websites or jobs like this…maybe you do this yourself and can help me. Thanks!
FORGOT TO MENTION: I don’t want to have to “subscribe” to anything, “sign up for credit cards”, “participate”, you know. I want to cut straight thru that stuff to the real money. Any real ideas? Thanks again!

This off-line typing opportunity only applies to the U.S., Canada and Europe.
If you are an accomplished typist – word processor and have recently visited your local 4-year university librarian, you can apply as a “certified” graduate typist, earning between $1.50 to $2.00 per page for typing a master or doctoral thesis. The librarian will ask the following questions in order to qualify you as a “certified” typist:
(1) Are you familiar and have a working knowledge of Microsoft Word?
(2) Are you able to set up section breaks along with appropriate placement of auto page numbering in the footer/header?
(3) Are you familiar with setting up a scheme with emphasis on the proper use of auto numbering, such as 1., 1.1, (a), (i), etc.?
(4) Do you have access to a scanner with built-in OCR sofware?
(5) Do you have access to a high-speed laser quality printer?
If you answer all the above questions in the affirmative, the librarian will provide you with a sample of the typing format template (i.e., margin settings, font selection, page set up, etc.) in order to complete these projects.
The librarian will then place your name on a list of “certified” graduate typists. This “certified’ list will be given to various department heads so that any graduate student seeking your services can easily contact you directly from this list.
An average weekend income is about $300-$400 for two days of work.
Good luck!

Job from home? Job online? Is anything out there legit?
I’m 18 and pregnant. I need to work, but I’ll be 5 months along soon, so I doubt anyone will hire me.
On televsion and through emails you hear about all these ‘work from home‘ or ‘work from your computer jobs‘…is any of this worth looking into or does anyone know of one that works?
I’d rather not have any fees or anythingt..I’d like something free if possible. I really need the money. Please inform me! =)

Many of these opportunities are mere scams.
Clearly any job needs to be more sitting than standing and lifting.
Have you considered working as a temp?
Check with the local temporary employment office or unemployment office and see what they have available.
