Questions & Answers On How To Work From Home For Real

Susan asks…

Why is it so hard to find a real work from home job? And why are there so many scammers out there?

A job… It is what I want and what I need. But going out and looking in my community is not a very possible option right now. I get so excited every time that I see what claims to be a “legit work from your home job.” But every single time that I really look into what I find, it was either a rare offer for one person or a scam of some sort. How can these “businesses” live with themselves taking advantage of people like me who really need a job and are willing to work hard? And are there any real entry level work from home jobs in the US? … Something that actually pays you by the hour for the work that you do rather than just giving you a small commission if you are lucky enough to bring them a customer?

admin answers:

It really depends on what sort of skills you have. My dad has a computer and basically makes a very tough living (it is hard work) working from home. He does all this fancy IT stuff and designing and trying to win audit contracts etc. He does it. You pretty much have to work for yourself if you wanna work at home.

Cindy asks…

Nancy asks…

How do I find real people who want a real opportunity to work from home in the travel Industry?

I’m looking for real answers from real people looking for real opportunity’s !!! Not adolescent minds, sarcastic remarks that don’t know how to see if something is real or not!

admin answers:

I would think that if you put an ad in the newspaper you would find a lot of people looking for opportunities to work from home.
Do you think that people don’t answer such ads because they think it’s just too good to be true. You’d have to find a way to convince them that this opportunity is for real.

Chris asks…

Davina asks…

how can i work from home for real?

We receive thousands of emails each day about working from home, and i really would like to work from home. I’m looking for English-Arabic translation or vice-verse jobs, as well as editing, data entry, book keeping etc jobs.
I mean all websites ask for advance fees, but how can we be sure that once they take our money, we will get something in return!
Can anyone help with really good ways i can start working from home but without paying anything in advance cause i really can’t afford so…

admin answers:

Hi!

I work from home for few years now. The company is legit and has been on the market since 1999. They pay me every time – no issues! You can start for free and work whenever you have time.

But, if you decide to work from your home (online), you need somebody to show you what do you have to do, otherwise u will do too many unnecessary things.

I started on my own, and I was not making any progress for quite a while.

Anyway than I joined this program and I got really good sponsor. He showed me everything I needed to know. And now, I’m passing it forward… http://www.globaldomainsbiz.org

Ken asks…

Are there any REAL work from home jobs that don’t make you pay first?

Does anyone actually KNOW and by know I mean does it themselves or is best friends/immediately family with someone who does it for a living and makes substantial money…? I’d love to know if there is actually one that didn’t make you pay them $100 for a book about how to like sell property in Aruba or something. I am the ultimate skeptic about this, but am a stay-at-home-mom who’d really like to find something that’s for real to do…

admin answers:

Yes. There are about a million – legitimate -suggestions to this on Yahoo Answers, which is your question. It would be redundant to repost everything here.

Mixed into each one of these answers are some of the same folks who are trying to get you to spend money. The scam is basically that they stay at home, looking for folks like you to pay them money to work at home, then, you do the same.

Good luck!

Questions & Answers On 2 Work From Home Reviews

Jim asks…

should i ask for a raise?

im currently working as system administrator (offical Title anyhow)
but im really doing software engineering on a high scale. I’ve been employed for almost a year and got one annual review since i was hired in Aug mid year.

several sites say the median pay scale for my area is 66K for a sys admin.
also note the 89K is the median pay for a software engineer.

everyone including my boss and many above him have seen me run circles around people since i’ve been there.
they recently gave me a 2% raise on my annual review bringing me to 61K
Also ive got a new laptop, paid cellphone, and now can work from home.

im not sure the best way to ask for a raise or if ive given it enough time?
At what point is it feasible to ask, or should i just begin job searching for better pay expecting my raise wont even come close to 80K?

admin answers:

That is called advancement, you often need to change jobs to get the big bump – just the facts of life. There is no way they will give you 30% – perhaps 10.

Be ready with a few interviews already attended to see if there really is a market for you. Also, those averages are usually skewed by geography – if you are doing your thing in a smaller market, expect the pay to be significantly less –

best of luck…be ready to move.

Lisa asks…

In California, can a lawyer act as a real estate agent for a buyer and collect 2% commission from the sale?

California Business and Professions Code 10131 and 10133 collectively state that a lawyer can assist in the sale of a home without having a real estate agents license. My sister uses an agent for buying homes and the seller usually pays the agent’s 2% commission. Can my sister use a lawyer as her agent (he does the same work as an agent would, doc review etc) and collect 2% commission from the seller. I appreciate answers based on CONCRETE INFO, such as laws, statutes, regulations etc. Responses from practicing attorneys are very welcome too!!!!

admin answers:

He can not collect a commission, but would work for an hourly fee or a set fee, paid for by your sister.

The commission still gets paid by the seller, but it goes to the selling agent.

Kylee asks…

what is the function rule for this relationship?(easy)?

Okay so I’m pregnant so I have to do my school work from home so I don’t get any help..
anyanys:
Speed | Time
——————-
2 | 200
4 | 100
8 | 50
10 | 40
20 | 20
25 | 16
50 | 8
100 | 4

Please give a short explanation and the answer…its not for a grade, but it’s a review for my exam and all the answers on the internet go into a deep explanation i dont understand…pleaseeee help me! (I know it’s an ugly graph but it’s something!!)
tw more questions:
How long will it take the girls to get there if they average 64 mph
what speed do they need to average if it takes them 6.25 hours to get there

for some reason i dont remember any of this

admin answers:

Hi,

This function is relating speed and time. You may know that:

Speed = Distance / Time
We can rearrange that to give:
Time = Distance / Speed
Or:
Distance = Time x Speed

From the values you’ve been given, we can calculate the distance involved:

Distance = Time x Speed

When Speed = 2, Time = 200, so Distance = 2 x 200 = 400
When Speed = 100, Time = 4, so Distance = 100 x 4 = 400

In fact, all the points on your line will give the same distance.

To answer the other questions:

If the girls average 64 mph, then the time can be calculated using:

Time = Distance / Speed = 400 / 64 = 6.25 (I guess the units are probably hours).

This also answers the next question – if it takes them 6.25 hours to get there, the average speed must be 64mph.

Hope that helps.

Lynn asks…

Home Theater System Setup Options?

ok im a first time HTS buyer looking to connect my Directv HD Receiver (H21), my Playstation 3, and my 32″ Samsung HDTV. This is the HTS I’m looking at. http://reviews.cnet.com/home-theater-systems/samsung-ht-z310t/4505-6740_7-32909101.html?tag=rnav Now my question is how to hook up all 3 of my devices to the av receiver. The big problem I see with the av receiver is that it only has 1 OPTICAL audiot input. Now, currently, my PS3 is connected to my tv via HDMI (which carries both the AUDIO & VIDEO). My DIRECTV Box is connected to my tv via HDMI as well (which carries both AUDIO & VIDEO. I want both my TV and PS3 connected to the av receiver. Now from reading reviews, people say that if you have a HTS w/ limited inputs/outputs, you can just connect an OPTICAL audio cable from my av receiver to my HDTV (yes my tv has an optical input). That way, anything you connect to the tv (my Directv box and PS3), the audio will be sent through the OPTICAL audio cable from the tv to the surround sound (as I said earlier). OPTION 2 – Others recommend that I connect my devices DIRECTLY to the av reciver via an OPTICAL cable and then have a seperate video cable running to the tv. now this option would work great but the av reciever I want only has 1 OPTICAL Input. So, my question is, is it better to use OPTION 1 to jsut run an OPTICAL audio cable from my av receiver to the tv (so anything i connect to the tv, the audio goes to the surround), OR is it better to use OPTION 2 and connect my devices DIRECTLY to the AV receiver and run seperate video cables to the tv for picture. If one of the two options doesnt actually work, then please let me know because I’m a first time buyer.
correction: my tv has the optical OUT, not in (thats my receiver that has the 1 OPTICAL input)

admin answers:

Am I reading the specs on this system incorrectly?!? It sounds weird, but if I’m reading it right, it has an HDMI output but NO HDMI INPUT!!! So that means you cannot hook the PS3 or DirecTV via HDMI- you would have to hook those up via toslink/optical or coaxial then use the HDMI output to hook it up to the TV.

Honestly it sounds like this system is forcing you to downgrade your connection quality because you’re hooking everything up via HDMI right now, but this system will have you running on optical cables instead. And optical cables are fine (you can still output dvd quality 5.1, DTS, etc. From dish and PS3) but optical cable does not output the new uncompressed audio formats from the PS3 like DTS-HD and Dolby True-HD). So if you’re not concerned about that then go with Option 1.

Option 2 is also a step backwards- you’re going from the HDMI convenience and quality to the old school separate audio/video hookups for each component. If you’re ok spending some time reconfiguring your system then have fun!

But I would go with Option 3: buy an HTS with HDMI v1.3 and at least 2 HDMI output / 1 HDMI input. That way you can hook up your DirecTV receiver and PS3 via HDMI to the receiver then output the video to the TV via a single HDMI cable. This will be by far the easiest and best way to go, with the convenience of an HDMI cable and the ability to output the new, uncompressed audio formats.

Unfortantely HTS like that (e.g, Onkyo HT-S9100THX or HT-SP908)
would cost you +$500K$ compared to this $200 system. Your best bet would be to buy a receiver with HDMI version 1.3 with at least 2in/1out and buy a speaker package (e.g., Yamaha RX-V663 or Onkyo TX-SR606). They can be had for less than $500 but that doesn’t include speakers. I know that’s more than twice the $$$ you were looking into with that other system but you’ll be getting better compatiblity and quality though.

FYI beware of systems that say they have HDMI “pass through” version 1.1 or 1.2- some can output video up to 1080p but they DO NOT output audio via HDMI- you’d have to run a toslink/optical cable or something else that defeats the convenience of HDMI in the first place.

David asks…

My roommates constantly put me down, should I move out? Need advice, please, before I make a decision.?

I currently live with a couple. We get along fine for the most part, and do things like eat dinner and watch movies together, but little things are starting to annoy me. I have lived with them for 3 years.

What is your advice to me? Thank you.

The gf is 27, bf is 31. The bf, who doesn’t work, lives off of making $20-30 a day off youtube toy reviews, has planted himself permanently on our living room couch with his laptop. Everyday I come home from work, he’s there. The gf who is a teacher with a good salary, spends all her money on him, letting him play expensive sports like hockey, and then complains she can’t afford to get anything nice for herself or have extra $, and acts jealous when I buy nice stuff for myself. All their time is spent on the couch eating and watching TV. Even my friends who hardly come to visit (since I live far) have noticed that the few times they have come over.

The bf has been caught cheating a few times, (I caught him too once on accident, but I didn’t tell my friend since it wasn’t my place) and the gf told me she wished I would have told her since I knew (but I didn’t want to put myself in the middle, not my business), and since then, she has made fun of me for my “stalker tendencies” and stuck up for bf, saying he just doesn’t know how to have a proper relationship, though it’s still obvious he’s talking to other women even now.

They both like to put me down and point out my character flaws, which I never do with them. They like to make fun of my love life because they think I go after “hot” men, which is completely untrue because the only 2 men who have been in my life since living with them the past 3 years, (I have been dating one of them for 2 years, other was a short fling) are anything but playboy model types. I honestly thought they were ok looking to begin with, and when I got to know them, I fell for their personalities, and thats why I think and brag that they are so attractive. Plus, they even told me they thought these guys were completely ugly!

The gf even pokes fun at my body type (petite, 115 lbs) when she is about 220 pounds. Once, we were watching some talk show and they discussed thongs getting “lost” in your behind when you wear them, and i asked how that could happen, and she got “all knowing” with me and said if you have a big butt, it will happen, and that since I have a “little” one, it won’t happen. Then once, looking through one of my Victoria’s Secret catalogs, I showed her which underwear (thong) I had bought to wear, and she had the nerve to remark, “it fits you like these girls? you have no butt!” She thinks my butt is so flat that you can see the WHOLE thong from behind. I explained to her that it did fit me like the models, and all she did was wearily nod like she didn’t believe me.

I partly don’t want to move because the area is close to work and very cheap, and my cat is best friends with the gf’s cat… ridiculous, I know, but I think he would be very unhappy if we moved, and I’m afraid if I find a good place that doesn’t allow cats, I have to get rid of him (but I do have a good family in mind who would like to take him if that were to happen). But, they are driving me nuts with how they treat me. What is their problem? Jealousy? Recently, the bf has been sick, and coughing A LOT, but he’s still in his usual spot on the couch, spreading his germs, eating fast food, drinking soda instead of getting proper rest and nutrition and staying in bed. I have stayed in my bedroom all week as a result, even though the gf said he’s not contagious.

admin answers:

Talk this over with your boyfriend. Seriously.

See what he thinks. Maybe it’s time to move in together.

It is obviously time for you to move out. They do not practice a healthy life style, they do not have a healthy relationship and they both sound physically unhealthy. What they say to you is unhealthy for you and makes you uncomfortable.

They do not support your relationships with your boyfriends that make you feel good. If this is because they are jelous or just mean does not matter, you need to move out of that corrosive environment.

It also sounds like they have no application of your wonderful petite body. Must better to be small than large and fat. How much in denial must a 200 pound blob be to ridicule someone who looks like a model becuase they are not as fat as them. You need to live with people who appreciate you for you, the way you are. I promises you that most sane guys like small slim women much better than fat ones.

I don’t know where you live but if you can transfer you job to a city in the south where there is year round sun and sand, and people spend more time outdoors at the beach, you might find a lot more application for your body type. You sound perfect for South Florida.

Don’t worry about your cat. Your cat, like you, will adapt. You can take it with you or you can leave the cat with them, so that it can remain being friends with their cat.

Start putting the word out that you are looking for a low cost place of your own, or to share with a sane, healthy person. There are people who go out and run, bicycle, dance and enjoy life. Find one and move in with them.

Or pull up roots and move to a city where it’s normal to bicycle down the road in a swim suit, and the boys love slim girls with a tan.

Elizabeth asks…

Does anyone know about a good mortgage company that can work with these factors?

1. Looking for a home under $200,000

2. Had identity theft but the items should be removed by now. If not we have documention. (rapid rescore may be needed).

3. Hasn’t worked at his main job for over a year, so no W-2 from them but plenty of check stubs.

4. Getting inheritance, but only wants to use that in consideration IF it is needed.

5. He is transferring with job to Texas (where we want to move, not presently living). The pay is far higher and he has his transfer letter.

6. Need low down-payment.

7. Need someone that can help with all aspects such as applying for FHA and the program that helps with down payment assistance.

If you know of a company that can work with this please let us know. We were working with someone but I just read a review that was not so good. Also he was rather difficult to get in contact with and it is important that this get started because the jobs start very soon.

Did you try to go to local bank and ask? We were buying two times and 3 times refinanced. The most positive experience we have had was with local Commerce Bank.

Questions & Answers On Work From Your Home

Kirstie asks…

Does anyone know of ways to work from your home computer without getting scammed?

I’d really like to try and earn extra money from working
from my laptop. When I say extra, I don’t mean thousands
or even hundreds. Just a little bit extra. I already have a job,
but I’m on my computer so much it would be easy for me to
do some type of work online.

So I’m wondering if anyone has had positive experiences
with doing data entry or surveys for companies online
that were not a scam?

If you know of any sites or companies
please let me know :)

admin answers:

Take surveys (though this can be very prickly, there’s alot of sites that offer this that are scams and alot that are real)

Do ad clicking.

That’s all i can really think of.
