What is a good legitimate website for laws on making money from your own computer at home?

just wanted to know is it legal to get ssi and still have a job where you get paid with cash from working with someone online? Or do they want us to inform social security when we make an extra income?

You are to report any earned income to SSA. If you don’t then you are breaking the law. There are limits as to how much you can earn monthly.

I knew this lady who was collecting income for babysitting and collecting SSI. I asked if she reports it and she told me no. I cringed. I get people who ask me all of the time if I would be interested in babysitting uner-the-table and I always say #1 if I felt I was capable of committing to watch your child then that means I am considered employable. If I could commit to a job then why not do what I’m good at and get a job that I have a background in that pays much better then babysitting. Typically they don’t understand and say “ok thanks”. People think because I am unemployed that I am just sitting around waiting for work to just come to me. No way! I would be working if I could and could commit.
