Questions & Answers On How To Work From Home Effectively

Thomas asks…
How could I effectively change my sleeping schedule?
I would like to change my sleep pattern.
Current:
Mon-Friday i work from 4pm to 11:30pm. I get home and am awake until 5 or 6 am. Then i sleep until noon or 1pm.
Optimal change:
Mon-friday work from 4pm to 1130pm. Get home and sleep until 7 or 8 am.
So basically id like to sleep at Night and be awake during the day. Are there any ways to effectively do this? should i not sleep for a night and go to bed the next night after work? please help. This is for school. Starting the first i got classes that begin at 9am. my job is also very inactive, if that helps.

There are a number of strategies… Firstly you could must try to get up at the same time (e.g. 8am) every morning no matter what! Then make sure you get into bed only when you are about to fall asleep. No sleeping during the day, if it’s hard do some more exercise during the day. You should soon be getting sleeping earlier naturally and find it easier to get up at 8am in the morning.

Mark asks…
I need to get out of here… I am literally on the verge of something?
Long story short – I live with my parents, I went to university for 2 months, hated it so I got a job, hated the job so left it after 6 months.
Now I am working for my dads business – its doing very badly, I have made no money working for him and he has also made almost nothing and has had to let go of ALL his staff and close down his offices and is now working from home.
Because we are so broke now – our home is being repossessed and we really dont know what we are going to do.
I am so fed up with this crap – I just want somewhere I can go where I will be supported and my true potential will be harbored and used effectively.
I am in debt now and am losing my hair because of it – I am only 20 years old and this really is not how I pictured life to be once leaving high school.
Does anyone know of where I can where they would take me under their wing and help me out so that in the long term I can help them out. Sort of like ‘investing’ in me
Thanks in advance

Instead of feeling defeated have you considered being the hero in this situation? For your family? I am a parent of adults and I want to be able to support them in everything they do but a while back I had to stop working because I had a head injury, my daughters both had to stop studying full time to help with my mortgage, they became my heroes, both feel stronger because of the experience and both finished their studies this year (this month actually). I am sure it is crippling your Dad, you could summon all your strength and mite and decide to help your family, get a job elsewhere (any job), any money coming in is better than only money going out. Get your superhero cape and mask on and make yourself and your parents really proud, bear some of your Dad’s burden, be strong and grow, don’t get defeated, it’s never too late, try and imagine what your parent’s frame of mind must be and how wonderful it would be if they feel stronger because you were helping to support them. Anyway lots of women are driven wild by a bald man, and a compassionate, strong, heroic one is very appealing. Good luck, you can do it.

Social workers must have integrity. This ethical core value is endlessly important. It is the standard of deciding what is right and wrong and what each of us ought to do usually in terms of rights and obligations, benefits, common good, least harm, and social justice for all individuals. These are all central to what social workers want to create en equal Social workers must adhere to the ethical principles of integrity on maintaining a high code of behavior, honesty, trust, being respected, and having a sense of justice and fairness. Being honest and having integrity can be a guide for everything that one does. What to do when no one is watching, knowing the difference between doing the right thing and wrong thing, and keeping your word are all examples of integrity. These are attributes that social workers should practice as professionals and in their everyday lives. Having integrity is respected both in personal and professional relationships .One needs to display a certain amount of sincerity and morals when working with clients. A social worker, specifically, must uphold the highest level of morality and maintain that level when other people try to challenge their views and test their wills. When social workers are challenged with ethical situations, they have to maintain a sense of integrity to their profession, ethics, and principles. We need to understand that clients have different values and beliefs from our own and as social workers we have to be open to learning about these differences and behave in an ethical manner.
Diversity means a myriad of things to people and for me; diversity never was and never will be a bad thing. It is the differences in the decisions that we make, the way we think, act, behave, and choose to live our lives. People tend to be uncomfortable when they mention diversity. Diversity is more than gender and race. People are diverse with their age, personality, experiences. lifestyles and sexual orientations. When we look at diversity, we must look beyond our own race and gender and take a broader view of things that make up the whole person and makes us all unique. We are all unique individuals that want to be treated with respect and dignity and treat others the same way in return. Overall, diversity is what enriches individuals’ lives. For myself, I know that I was able to learn from other cultures and have an open mind when our views differed from one another.
For example, I am an individual of mixed heritage: African American and Mexican American. I lived in a small community in Southern Texas in which mostly the population was all Spanish. From the aspect of having lived with individuals from diverse cultures, eventually I learned to speak Spanish. When I moved to California, my views were broadened by other cultures; therefore, I was more open to learning from people of other cultures. I started working at a group home when I noticed that there were diverse individuals from many cultures. For instance, one of my friends I met while working there was from the Philippines. To me, learning about her culture was interesting to me because I connected with her on the level of our shared language, Spanish. I later learned that people have different ways to look at things and often will solve problems in different ways. Sometimes, people need to take a step back from their own selves and look at how we view people who are unlike ourselves. Embracing diversity means committing to looking beyond those unlike us. It is important to be opening minded and non-judgmental when interacting and communicating with people of diverse backgrounds. My cultural background has provided me with the capacity to work effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds and cultures. I am culturally competent with the ability to speak Spanish and able to relate to those clients that are non-English speaking. I feel that I can assist them in however they need help, whether it is physically or emotionally.
Homelessness is a matter of concern anywhere in the world, but is a particular cause for concern and shame when it occurs in the richest nation in the world. The definition of homelessness can vary. It includes not only those who are living on the streets or in shelters and hotels but also those who are living in temporary accommodation or in housing that is unfit for human conditions. There are at least 600,000 homeless men, women, and children in the United States. But one-third of this population is composed of families with children.
I’m sure everyone has seen this- people driving by and watching people sleeping on the sidewalks. Or you see someone with a sign saying “I’m hungry, have no money, and need food.” This is really sad because most people assume that people that are homeless are bumbs, drug addicts, or mentally-ill. But that is not true. More and more people that are homeless are women and children. On the one hand, the government should get involved with this is

Ok -lots of good ideas here but it is not yet an essaybecause
1. It lacks an introduction ..
2. And a concluusion
3. There are too many unsupported assertions
4. The first paragraph has too many of such unsupported assertions, too many ideas for one paragraph, and too much repetition
5. The specific topics need to be separated out into separate paragraphs with your assertions connected with your evidence
to make these changes imagine you are talking to your next door neighbour or you uncle or aunt, someone who is intelligent but knows nothing of your topic.
Now practice telling them as briefly as possible -with no repetition-
A. What the topic is about in principle
B. Your focus ie what specific arguments you want to make within the topic
C. How you are going to present them as major questions to be tested
ie. The evidence you are going to use to support each of your key points.
D. Your conclusion ie how you are going to pull these disparate aspects of your complete topic together.- then, briefly, what this means for what governments(or other persons/institutions) should do
